Healing the Large Intestine

Acupressure for the Large Intestine

There are two points for the large intestine:

  • The width of your thumb directly in front of the inner ankle.
  • The span of your hand below the first point (see illustration).

Exercise to Stimulate the Large Intestine

  • Firmly press the first point with your thumb and hold for 30 seconds, then massage in clockwise motions 10 times.
  • Firmly press the second point with your thumb and hold for 30 seconds, then massage in clockwise motions 10 times.

The Lungs’ Healing Sound

The healing sound for the large intestine is the same as it is for the lungs—”Sss.” Repeat the lung sound 12 times each day.
