“In bed there are a few steps you can take to help yourself to better sleep;-
Begin by taking 10 deep breaths, inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth.
Concentrate on the rhythm of the breath and the feeling of the breath as it is drawn in and released out.
For every inhale imagine breathing in blue energy which spreads through out your whole body, healing each and every cell. When breathing out exhale red energy which takes all your stress and anxiety along with it, dispersing far from your body.

Massage your feet for a few minutes, pressing in circular motions while gently increasing the pressure. Repeat this massage for each of your hands.

End the massage and SMILE, doing this activates endorphins which promotes feelings of happiness and wellbeing. Make a mental list of at least 10 things that you are grateful for at this moment in your life.

Allow your mind to choose either a gold, silver or white light, visualise surrounding yourself with it.
This is the light of protection and it is your own private sanctuary where no one can enter with out your permission.

Imagine a big heavy, wooden chest, invisage opening this chest and placing all your negative thoughts, emotions, fears, worries and phobias inside it, along with any negativity that happened during your day. Lock it with a big imaginary padlock and key and place it wherever you feel you would like to, this could be under the ocean, on top of a mountain, out into the universe etc. Say to yourself “I couldn’t deal with this now, I will when I am ready”.

Close your eyes and go into your own world where everything is possible for you and drift gently to sleep.” Dr Mirella
